Networking and collaborating are powerful ways that faculty can improve their productivity. There are a number of faculty-led groups on our campus designed to connect faculty with one another.
The Department of Media Arts is hosting the inaugural Mediating Change Conference at UNT, November 1-2, 2018. The conference focuses on the roles of media in creating a more equitable, inclusive, sustainable, and just society. The goal is to bring scholars, media practitioners, educators, and/or activists together in one space so that we can all learn from and about each other’s research, creative projects, tools, and strategies.
UNT will conduct it’s first-ever Campus Inclusion Climate Survey October 29 – November 16th. Four customized survey tools for UNT Denton faculty, staff, students and administrators will be sent directly to your UNT email. The anonymous responses will help UNT to create a strategic plan for diversity and inclusion that considers UNT’s multiple perspectives. We encourage you as faculty to participate and share with students the importance of their participation in helping to shape UNT’s future.
Richard Zhang, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Energy Engineering (MEE), joined UNT in the Fall 2017 semester, after serving 2 years at the Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA as a spacecraft engineer. Dr. Zhang’s life-long passion has been in the space sciences, since growing up along Florida’s Space Coast, home of the NASA Kennedy Space Center. Dr.
Eddie Meaders, Principal Lecturer in the Department of Political Science, has married a passion for students with a remarkable set of life experiences to become a tremendous asset to the university community. After earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech in 1985 and subsequently being admitted to the Texas bar, Professor Meaders began a career in law.
