Award Description
The UNT Adjunct Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence recognizes outstanding achievements by an adjunct faculty member that demonstrates the important role that adjunct faculty have at UNT. It is awarded to a part-time faculty member that exemplifies the highest quality for the teaching and mentorship of students. The award includes an engraved plaque and a monetary award.
Eligibility
- Must be a part-time faculty member in good standing
- Must have taught at least one (1) course per year for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years
- Must have a distinguished record of teaching
- Must demonstrate outstanding dedication to student success
- Must foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity through teaching
Nomination Procedures
A candidate’s nomination should be based upon a record of excellence consisting of excellent teaching evaluations over a three (3) year period prior to the nomination.

Selection Process
Nominations will be reviewed by the Adjunct Award Selection and Review Committee.
Deadline
All completed nomination packets must be received by Faculty Success by 5 p.m. October 9, 2024. See the Call for Nominations for details.
