Dr. Bagcal, clinical associate professor of mechanical engineering, was named 2026
Outstanding Educator by the Associated General Contractors of America, the nation's
largest and oldest construction trade association.
A passionate educator with 28 years of experience, Dr. Ginther will partner with
units across the university to provide faculty development programming, support, and
resource planning that advances UNT’s mission.
Dr. Dafoe, a professor in the Department of Counseling and Higher Education, was
nominated by a colleague and supported by student testimonials, reflecting the impact
of his mentorship and commitment to student success.
With a lifelong passion for preserving DFW’s natural ecoregions, Dr. Baxter-Slye,
a clinical associate professor for ecology education, was recognized at the state
level for her work with students and local governments.
