Get a head start with Write Start, our ELAR Summer Bridge Program. Move into your assigned dorm room early and work with English faculty members to advance your writing skills and prepare for the upcoming semester for FREE! 

Spend three energizing days connecting with fellow students while learning how to craft strong, effective essays alongside our academic team.

Bonus Opportunity: On the final day, earn a score of 4–5 on your writing assignment and you could swap out of your TSI ENGL 1310 enrollment into a regular section—and skip TSIW 1300Z entirely!

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Incoming Fall 2026 undergraduate student
  • TSIA 2.0 ELAR score of 935-944
  • Must have a TSIA 2.0 ELAR score on file with UNT
