Welcome to the Office of Advising Services!
We’re excited you're considering joining the Mean Green family! Here’s how we can support your next steps:
Prospective Student Advising
Prospective Student Advising resumes Monday, August 25th.
Our Undergraduate Prospective Student Advising* sessions are designed to help you discover your best-fit major, learn how your transfer credits may apply toward the UNT Core, and feel confident about becoming a UNT student. We offer in-person and virtual appointments at both Denton and Frisco locations, so you can connect with an academic counselor in the way that works best for you.
*OAS Prospective student advising is available for undergraduate students. Our office
cannot assist propsective graduate or second bachelor's degree students. Graduate students should direct questions to the Toulouse Graduate School or to their
program of interest.
* Academic counselors cannot provide on-the-spot credit evaluations. See below for
instructions on submitting your credit for unofficial evaluation
*All new UNT students must attend New Student Orientation. Prospective advisors cannot
advise you into classes or waive your new student orientation requirement.
Unofficial Core Credit Evaluations
To see how your credits will transfer into the UNT Core, please email your unofficial
transcripts to untadvising@unt.edu. **Please allow a minimum of 5 to 10 business days for evaluations.
All evaluations completed by the Office of Advising Services are UNOFFICIAL and may
change once officially evaluated by your academic department after you have been admitted
into UNT.
- If you have over 90 credit hours or credit from several 4-year institutions, we recommend scheduling an advising appointment with a UNT advisor in your prospective academic college.
