Please be sure you have reviewed all of the program information found on this website.
The deadline to submit your application is April 26, 2024. Offer letters will go out at different times throughout March, April, and May - be
sure to check your UNT email!
- It is important to note that offers are sent in the order that applications are received,
and the program has a limited seat number so the sooner you apply the better. If the
program fills, we will maintain a waitlist that will also be managed in the order
applications are received.
If you are ready to apply, be sure you:
- Have been admitted to the Fall 2024 semester. You'll need your student ID number
to complete the application.
- Are you available to begin summer classes during the summer II session? This means
you will be required to live on campus for the duration of the program and cannot hold a job. No exceptions to these rules will be made.
NOTE:
The application DOES NOT save your progress and must be completed and submitted in
one sitting. You'll need to set aside at least 30 minutes to complete the application,
which includes an essay portion.
The short answer/essay portion asks you to consider the following prompts:
Consider your goals for participating in Early Start. What do you expect to gain
from the Early Start summer bridge experience? (500 character maximum)
We know that students come from high school with many skills. Thinking about your
strengths, what do you anticipate contributing to the Early Start program and participants?
(500 character maximum)
While we aren't looking for lengthy essays, we do expect a thorough response! You
might consider typing your responses in a word document first, for example, and then
copying and pasting into the application when you're ready.
