At the University of North Texas, we take great pride in a campus culture focused on caring for everyone in our Mean Green family. The Office of the Vice Provost for Student Success plays an important role in that culture by facilitating student success. Our campus offers many resources aimed at helping students succeed in every respect. We believe that these resources, combined with the resilience and creativity UNT students are well known for, set the stage for a lifetime of learning and success.
Student success is everyone’s business here at the University of North Texas, and the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Success is proud to partner with offices across campus to support our students.
Our office is responsible for a number of particular initiatives, including:
- Academic Advising
- Academic Integrity
- Early Start Programs
- The Learning Center
- MARTIAL Eagles
- Development of Special Sessions (e.g., Wintermester)
- Teaching Assessment:
- Student Perceptions of Teaching (SPOT)
- Assistance and training in creating teaching portfolios
- Thank a Teacher
- Waitlist management
We also provide support for the faculty-led undergraduate curriculum process, and we contribute to student success by providing support and development opportunities for department chairs and unit administrators. Finally, we collaborate extensively with the Division of Digital Strategy and Innovation, the Division of Enrollment, the Division of Institutional Equity and Diversity, the Division of Student Affairs, the Office of the Registrar, the Toulouse Graduate School and others across campus in order to make the student experience at UNT exceptional.
