Preparing for Summer Instruction

I know that these are difficult times. As a faculty member who is preparing to teach a course this summer, we want to provide you with resources to help support the development of your course(s). To aid you in preparing for teaching this summer. We are providing you with the following resources, which you will find in Canvas.

  1. A self-paced course titled Summer 2020 Remote Delivery Training, which you can expect will take 3-6 hours to complete. The training outlines a variety of best practices for implementation. We encourage you to try as many of the tips and techniques as you like, however we recognize that each remote delivery course is unique, and as such feel free to select those practices that best suit your course(s) needs.
  2. A pre-populated course shell(s) with a template that will give you a head start on the successful remote delivery of your course(s).
  3. Additional resources can be found at http://teachanywhere.unt.edu. As always, if there are questions or concerns reach out to the Faculty Helpdesk at clearhelp@unt.edu

We recognize that preparing for remote delivery for your entire course(s) this summer takes additional time and attention. To recognize this effort, a $500 task payment is available from the Office of the Provost on a first come, first serve basis for faculty teaching this summer who successfully complete the training before May 8th (until funds are exhausted with at least 100 task payments available). Faculty who successfully complete their training will be contacted within two weeks of completion with details on eligibility for a task payment.

Thank you for everything you are doing to support the success of our students. We want to make sure that this summer is as successful for you, as your students under what are extraordinary circumstances.
