Preparing for End of Semester

In these final weeks of the academic semester, I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for our faculty and staff and the spirit with which you have faced these difficult conditions this semester.  Despite a global pandemic, we have still been able to achieve our mission because of the work you are engaged in every day. I hope that you will be able to have some rest during the Thanksgiving break.

Following the Thanksgiving break our classes will be occurring remotely through finals. We will continue to provide students services to support our students both virtually and in-person, as needed, through final exams.

For our faculty, teaching assistants, teaching fellows and instructional support staff who are scheduled to teach in-person or partially in-person during the spring semester, I am asking that you plan to attend our Guidance for Face-to-Face Teaching Part 3, being held from 3 to 4:30 pm on December 3rd. This event will cover classroom protocols, processes and safety. Please submit your questions in advance so we can address as many questions as possible during the training session. The Return to Learn website will have the recording of this session for those unable to join at the scheduled time. For those who taught virtually in the fall or are new to UNT for this spring, links to Parts 1 and 2 of the Guidance should be reviewed prior to December 3rd.

Again, thank you for all you are doing to support our students this semester.
