Name change for non-tenure track faculty

Dear UNT Faculty,

As many of you know, this spring, Faculty Success engaged multiple stakeholders across the university in discussions regarding renaming UNT’s non-tenure track faculty.

Vice Provost Holly Hutchins also sought feedback from the Non-Tenure Track Faculty Resource Group, Faculty Senate and examined data from UNT’s recent COACHE climate survey, with the goal of finding a term that defines these crucial members of our faculty by what they are, rather than what they are not.

Paul S. Krueger named new College of Engineering dean

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Please join me in welcoming Paul S. Krueger as the new dean of UNT’s College of Engineering. He will begin his appointment June 1.

Dr. Krueger will oversee the college’s innovative curriculum, expansive research enterprise, thriving local and global partnerships, and interdisciplinary labs and initiatives. The College of Engineering is home to world-class faculty and staff and boasts some of UNT’s fastest growing programs, and I am excited to see it continue to thrive under his leadership.

UNT welcomes Albert Bimper as new CLASS executive dean

Dear UNT Faculty and Staff,

It is my pleasure to announce that Albert Bimper has been selected as the new executive dean of UNT’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. He will join us July 1.

Dr. Bimper is an experienced administrator and dedicated scholar-educator — a combination that will make him a tremendous asset to our largest and most eclectic college, and to our university community. His deep knowledge of the academy and collaborative approach will lend themselves well to the diverse array of programs in CLASS.
