UNT Open Access Symposium 2019: Is Open Access an Answer for Access to Justice?
The tenth annual UNT Open Access Symposium will be held May 17–18, 2019, at UNT Dallas College of Law. As usual, this year’s program includes a great set of presenters, this year coming from Penn, Harvard, Duke, UT, Saskatchewan, and other institutions in and outside Texas.
Registration is free for students and inexpensive for all others. Early registration closes April 30!
Fellowship Lecture Series: Dr. Kenna Lang Archer
Please join us when Fellow Dr. Kenna Lang Archer will give her lecture, “Dog Days, Cat Naps & Fiery Old Sol: A History of ‘Keeping Cool’ in Texas.”
The lecture will take place in Willis Library, Room 250H on Friday, April 5, 2019, from 2:00pm-3:00pm.

Willis Library Undergoing Renovations
Starting this Spring, the Willis Library is undergoing renovations to various parts of the building. Updates on the renovations may be found on the library website.
National Library Week
National Library Week will be taking place April 8-12. This year’s theme is “Libraries = Strong Communities”. We have various events planned throughout the week at the Libraries.
April 8: A NASA Exhibit & Reception will be taking place at the Eagle Commons Library which will launch an exhibit of NASA-related materials from the UNT collections in honor of National Library Week, the 60th Anniversary of NASA and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. A reception will be taking place on the launch day from 10am-Noon in Eagle Commons Library.
April 9: The Day of Digital Scholarship Event will take place in Willis Library, Room 250H from 9:30am-5:00pm.
April 10: A Fem Flicks Series Event will spotlight a screening of Dalya’s Other Country in Willis Library, Room 250H From Noon-2:00pm
April 11: The Human Library Event will take place on the Rooftop Garden at the Student Union from 10:00am-4:00pm
