On Thursday, April 7, 2022, Faculty Success hosted an interactive virtual workshop with Dr. Donna Stokes as part of the Spring 2022 Anti-Bias and Cultural Awareness Program. Thank you to Dr. Stokes and to all of our attendees!
The workshop, "Approaches to Implementing DEI in STEM Spaces," explored the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as a value-added concept applicable to classrooms and other spaces. Attendees were provided specific examples of how to approach implementation, participated in interactive activities surrounding culture in STEM environments, shared their current practices, and self-reflected on their future commitments to DEI.
