CLEAR: January Teaching Excellence Spotlight

Our January 2019 Teaching Excellence Spotlight awardee is Dr. Rose Baker, Assistant Professor in the Department of Learning Technologies. A lifelong educator, Dr. Baker has been teaching since she was a child when she taught her sibling and other neighborhood children how to count and has not stopped since.

CLEAR: Ready for Canvas?

Starting this Spring semester, all UNT courses using a learning management system will be offered in Canvas.  Online resources for Canvas can be found here, and CLEAR is hosting open labs for Canvas training or questions every Friday in January, from 1-4 in Chilton 255.  No appointment is necessary – feel free to drop by! 

December Teaching Excellence Spotlight

SPOT Survey Reminder

Student Perceptions of Teaching (SPOT) is the student evaluation system for UNT, and allows students the ability to confidentially provide constructive feedback to their instructor and department to improve the quality of student experiences in the course.  SPOT Survey CLOSES on December 6.  The faculty portal can be located at https://unt.iasystem.org/faculty.  The portal allows faculty to add their own questions to their course evaluations, pull past term reports, and preview surveys created... Goodbye Blackboard. Hello Canvas!

Say goodbye to Blackboard Learn!  UNT will no longer offer courses in Blackboard Learn after the Fall 2018 semester.  All Spring courses using an LMS must be migrated to Canvas prior to the Spring 2019 semester start.  If you have not already migrated your courses or submitted migration requests, please do so here.  If you need Canvas training, you can sign up for a face-to-face or online self-paced training here.
