"Campus Connect" Suicide Prevention Training provided by Counseling and Testing Services

Campus Connect is a suicide prevention training developed by the Suicide Prevention Resource Center under a grant from HHS, SAMHSA, and CMHS.  It uses instruction, interaction and activities to enhance knowledge, awareness, and skills regarding suicide among college students.  Participants will learn suicide risk and protective factors, warning signs, empathic listening and communication skills, how to ask individuals if they are thinking about suicide, potential reactions and referral sources.
