Faculty Advocate Network

Facilitated by: Leslie Roberts (Principal Lecturer, Public Administration) and Kimi King (Professor, Political Science)

Faculty Success is committed to supporting faculty to be successful in their promotion and tenure review through our workshops, recognition opportunities, and policy support. We are now expanding this support in formalizing the process for our Faculty Advocate Network (or FAN) and will host an information session on September 28th (remote and in-person) for those interested in learning more about the program and about a future formal training process to become a Faculty Advocate. Faculty Advocates are senior-level faculty (usually full professors, principal lecturers, clinical professors) who can advise and “clarify aspects of the tenure and promotion process and/or answer questions regarding the candidate’s case” as described in UNT Policy 6.004.

We have reached capacity in our room, but please join us via Zoom.
