Career Connect issues digital, marketable skills badges and micro-credentials (sets of badges), and soon will issue digital credentials (sets of micro-credentials) that demonstrate student competency and proficiency in a variety of marketable skills.
Career Connect awards credentials to students who engage in multiple, semester-long experiential or service-learning experiences and demonstrate proficiency in one or more marketable skills targeted by those experiences and multiple high-impact practices.
A combination of rigor and assessment determines which activities contribute to each micro-credential. In short, UNT students can earn badges that can be stacked to earn micro-credentials and students can stack micro-credentials to earn a marketable skills credential.
