Step 1 - DEFINE (Spring 2008) What is the mission of the core? (completed)

The following flow chart outlines the process used by the Faculty Senate Core Task Force to engage faculty in defining the mission of the UNT Core. Forums were hosted for faculty members and for other members of the UNT community, including students. A set of preliminary objectives were drafted by the Senate Task Force as a result of those forums. Faculty were invited to give further input through surveys and on a wiki established for the purpose. The draft objectives were refined through this process and posted for comment. Three committees of the Faculty Senate met together to review and revise the draft. The Faculty Senate Core Task Force then prepared a report and offered a set of "overarching objectives" which outline the mission of the core and presented it to the Senate, which gave its approval.
