Request for Proposals - 2009 Research Cluster Competition Application

 

Each research cluster proposal must provide the following information:

  8. Project Description.  Describe the proposed research cluster in a maximum of ten (10) pages with 11 point font.  The Project Description must explain:
    • Existing core and auxiliary faculty expertise (with indication of recent related productivity)
    • Existing internal or external collaborations or partnerships
    • Existing research infrastructure
    • Types of faculty to be hired in each year (specific areas of expertise, explicit description of how they would augment the productivity of the cluster)
    • How the cluster would improve UNT’s recognition
    • How the cluster would fulfill UNT’s mission and strategic plan

    9. In addition to the 10-page project description, please provide:

  9. Projected ROI over seven (7) years (maximum of one page)
  10. Detailed budget by year
  11. Two-page CV for each core faculty member and one-page CV for each affiliated faculty member.
  12. Signature page including the signatures of all core and affiliated faculty, chairs of the relevant departments, and deans of the relevant colleges/schools, indicating their awareness of and support for the cluster proposal.
