Peggy Tobolowsky"I am honored to serve as the Chair of the Chairs Council, which consists of dedicated representatives from each UNT college. To carry out its goal of facilitating the work of UNT department Chairs, the Council disseminates information, promotes ongoing professional development opportunities, and addresses specific issues of interest to Chairs. The Council looks forward to its continuing collaboration with the Provost, Deans, and other administrators on matters that are relevant to UNT Chairs and faculty."

The Council shall exist to facilitate and improve the work of faculty department chairpersons by:

  1. Referring issues and informing the university administration on items that are of interest and/or relevant to chairpersons
  2. Assisting chairpersons in the performance of their duties
  3. Providing development opportunities for chairpersons
  4. Advancing the University's mission
