 Need Help Choosing a Major?

We understand that choosing a major can sometimes feel overwhelming. If you are undecided about your major and degree options you are in good company; over 75% of university students will change their major at least once during their academic career. Our academic counselors in the Office of Advising Services are ready to meet with you to explore majors. During your appointment, our team will help you find a major that best fits your:

  • Personality
  • Skills
  • Values
  • Goals

What If I Choose the Wrong Major?

Selecting one major does not mean that you have ruled out all the other choices. There are a variety of ways for you to combine interests.

  • Change your major, or add a minor, certificate, or double major. You can meet with an Exploring Majors Academic Counselor for more information about this process.
  • You could choose to minor in another discipline or select a double major or double degree.
  • Get involved on campus, or find your passion in a new work experience.
  • Focus your education on your personal interests, or on a specific educational or professional goal.
