The purpose of the Chairs Council:

The Council shall exist to facilitate and improve the work of faculty department chairpersons by:

1. referring issues and informing the university administration on items that are of interest and/or relevant to chairpersons
2. assisting chairpersons in the performance of their duties
3. providing development opportunities for chairpersons
4. advancing the University's mission
